Dear Mr. *****,
thank you for your request on autoaid.de.
The following information reached us:
A blind diagnosis without concrete symptoms isn't easy.
However, that's the information I can give you:
The mentioned error code 5612 (C1612) means: Steering Angle Sensor Programming. So the ABS/ESP/ASR cannot work properly.
As the DTC says there is a programming fault I would try to recalibrate the sensor. In most cases this should solve your problem.
In some cases this kind of fault is caused by faulty wiring and/or faulty connector(s).
So check wiring and connectors from and to the Steering Angle Sensor. Are there any broken cables, short circuits or losse contacts? It could be a corrored or damaged cable.
Also, it is possible that the Sensor itself is faulty or defective.
I hope this information will help you to solve your problem.
Kind regards,
Team autoaid
