A blind diagnosis isn't easy.
The mentioned error code P2288 says, that the pressure in the High Pressure Pump and/or High Pressure Lines is too high.
First, check the fuel system for damages. Is there any leakage?
Watch the rail pressure during idling. The engine must be at operating temperature.
The setpoint is 20,0–40,0 MPa (200–400 bar).
