Hello Johndean, thanks for your Question in this Community.
Your Question for this fault Code is an interesting problem, because there are multiple Answers.
At first, the fault Code means :

2133 (002) Glow Plug Cylinder 1 Short circuit to ground
2133 (004) Glow Plug Cylinder 1 Interruption
2133 (001) Glow Plug Cylinder 1 Defect
2133 (008) Glow Plug Cylinder 1 Overheating

Disconnect the Switch from the Glow Plug Control unit, then you could check the wiring and Glow Plug to a short circuit to ground.
At this check you have 2 fly witch one check checked.
The most fault is a defect of the Glow Plug, this defect is also from overheating.
Please connect the Switch from the Glow Plug Control Unit and disconnect the Switch from the 1.Cylinder Glow Plug. The 1. Cylinder is in the front of the right side at the Engine (passengers side) in the car. I mean a German car, but the Engine is the same.. Please think at this.
So, now you can check the Voltage at this Switch when you take on the ignition, it will be 5 V.
Never check the Glow Plug with 12V, then it will be defect.
If there comes 5 V, then is also the Glow Plug defect.
