Hello Stuart Middleton, thanks for your question in the community.
Your describet fault Code isn´t good for this car.. The fault Code means the following: P0244 turbocharger exhaust flapper valve A range/operating state
The Problem is to check any Things be followed:
1. check your turbocharger fresh air (clean air) intake. There is a rubber gasket on the Charger. If this is oily, then check the intake channel engine under this gasket.
I think that this is your fault. You can also check the fuses if one of this are burned.
2. when you take the ignition on, then the chargers exhaust flapper must easily move a Little bit. When this isn´t so, then is a fuse burned, or the flapper valve engine is fault.
I say this because i´ve often this fault and then you must renew the intake channel engine under the charger and the gasket rubber from the charger.
Both engines are on one fuse and another engines more.
