fault cleared now had to reset engine ecu as well as obd

Your descripted fault Code 5140 is in OBD C1140.
This code means the steering sensor. Perhaps you have to learn in this Sensor, or replace this.
Do you have repaired everything in this system? Maybe the blinker switch?
Please check this, you can see in the sensor logs.
